On November 18, 2018, a crisp fall day in Leesburg, VA, friends and supporters gathered to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the newly-renovated Youngkin Equine Soundness Clinic in the Fout Barn at Virginia Tech's Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center (EMC).

The renovation of the former open-air barn into a comprehensive, state-of-the-art sports medicine facility was made possible by a generous gift from Suzanne and Glenn Youngkin of Great Falls, Virginia. “This creates a unique health care model where specialists travel to the patient, as opposed to the horse having to rotate between different specialists,” said Michael Erskine, EMC Director.

Throughout the celebration, guests of all ages enjoyed special activities including clinic tours, donkey rides, and a special visit from the HokieBird.
