Luiza Bezerra, DVM

I earned my veterinary degree from the Federal University of Sergipe, Brazil, in 2024. During veterinary school, I had the opportunity to spend time at Virginia Tech, where I discovered my passion for veterinary anesthesia. Since then, I have focused my career on pursuing advanced training with the goal of becoming a veterinary anesthesia resident. I also hold a postgraduate certificate in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Medicine.

Outside of veterinary medicine, I enjoy horseback riding, spending time with friends, and embracing the outdoors. Growing up near the beach in northeastern Brazil fostered my love for nature, hiking, and coastal living. I am excited to continue my training and contribute to the veterinary community at Virginia Tech.
