Emily Henry, DVM

Resident
  • Emergency and Critical Care

Dr. Emily Henry originally hails from the great state of Minnesota. She completed both her undergraduate and veterinary degrees at the University of Minnesota and then went on to complete a 1-year small animal rotating internship in Northern California. After her internship, she elected to practice Emergency Medicine in the Reno Tahoe area for several years before relocating to Alaska. During her time in Alaska, she worked primarily in Emergency Medicine and also participated heavily in sled dog medicine and remote village outreach. Being exposed to a lack of specialty veterinary services in Alaska sparked the motivation for Dr. Henry to pursue her residency in Emergency Critical Care. Her special interests include toxicities, DKA management, and polytrauma.

In her free time, Dr. Henry enjoys teaming with her husband for ultra endurance racing, white water pack rafting, paragliding and rock climbing/canyoneering. Their dog Broccoli is usually amicable to participating in adventures but has shown a chronic lack of enthusiasm.
