Maria Madsen, DVM

Dr. Maria Madsen is originally from Arizona and earned her veterinary degree from Midwestern University. She completed a small animal rotating internship at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine and is excited to be staying for a residency in Neurology & Neurosurgery. Her clinical interests in neurology are using the neurological exam to localize lesions and neurosurgery.

Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys artistic hobbies including painting with oils and acrylics as well as drawing. When she isn’t studying or focusing on related literature, she enjoys spending time reading fantasy or science fiction. She has three pets, including her two cats and her corgi, Sylla.
