Shane Stafford, DVM

My name is Shane Stafford, and I was born and raised in Herminie, Pennsylvania, a small town near the Pittsburgh area. I recently graduated from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2025.

After graduation, I spent the past year in general practice at a local veterinary clinic in Pennsylvania, where I had previously worked throughout veterinary school. During that time, I attended ultrasound training through SonoPath, gained experience managing a wide variety of cases, and further developed my clinical skills. Most importantly, the experience solidified my desire to return to academia and continue pursuing my goal of becoming an ABVP Diplomate in Canine and Feline Medicine.

Outside of veterinary medicine, I enjoy hiking with my dog, Jake, exploring new places, trying new restaurants, attending local drag shows, and spending time with family and friends.
