A new, yearlong grant from the USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture has been awarded to Jennifer Davis for her work in the Food Animal Residue Avoidance and Depletion Program, the primary source for scientifically-based recommendations regarding safe withdrawal intervals of drugs and chemicals in food-producing animals.
Since 2018, the FARAD center at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine works in tandem with centers in universities across the country to ensure drug residues don’t end up on your plate.
