Mary is an exceptional example of what an instructor, mentor, and colleague should be. For the students, from the moment they walk into their new lives as veterinary students, to the time they leave as new veterinarians, she invests herself in their success and supports them inside and outside the school building. She shows poise and grace, helping mold students into the best new veterinarians possible, and the students grow and thrive in her presence. Ask any of the students about Mary, and I guarantee you they will smile. She instructs and supports in a positive and memorable manner. As a colleague, she is dependable and hard-working. She communicates quickly and clearly and is eager to help others, even in areas less familiar to her. Her positive presence is grounding to those who work with her. She is someone to be looked up to and to strive to be like, and I very dearly appreciate her being on our MDL team!
