Dean Dan Givens presents the June 2024 Staff Member of the Month award to Liz Bowman.

Liz Bowman

Pre-award and Fellowship Coordinator
Research & Graduate Studies

Liz was previously in the Department of Population Health Sciences

Nomination

Liz has been a member of Population Health Sciences for a little over a year and has rapidly become the go-to expert and problem-solver to support faculty success. She jumps in, finds solutions, and lets faculty know that the problem is solved, or the admin process completed. She has already built an extensive network to whom she reaches out for questions or, increasingly, is a source to provide answers. She is an excellent team member. Her wonderful personality and humor draw others to her welcoming office and she is always ready with new ideas to make the department more fun.

Nomination 2

Liz is truly exceptional in every way. She has a strong work ethic and brings her best self to the office every single day. Since starting her job in Population Health Sciences she has consistently taken on more tasks and projects and she just keeps crushing it.

She has been particularly helpful this month in helping to prepare P&T dossiers for our faculty. Her attention to detail and care in preparing these has been apparent. She helped make our faculty shine.

In addition to being fantastic at her job, Liz is an upbeat and optimistic person who is great to be around. She elevates the mood in the office and makes everyone around her happy. I could not think of anyone more deserving of this recognition than Liz.
