Anokhi’s exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication were on full display during the recent planning and execution of the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine’s Annual Open House. Her superb organizational and implementation skills not only ensured the event ran smoothly but also elevated it to new heights. Through her strategic planning and tireless efforts, Anokhi successfully mobilized more groups to participate than in any previous year, creating a more engaging and inclusive experience for all attendees.

What is even more impressive is that Anokhi achieved this increased participation and engagement despite the Open House taking place over Easter Weekend—a time when attendance might typically wane. Instead, Anokhi’s hard work and outreach efforts resulted in a 50% increase in attendance compared to previous years. This remarkable turnout is a testament to her ability to connect with diverse stakeholders and inspire collective investment in the event’s success.

The buy-in Anokhi generated across departments, student organizations, and external partners was truly unmatched. Her commitment to collaboration and her talent for bringing people together created an atmosphere of enthusiasm and shared purpose that was felt throughout the event. Thanks to her, the Annual Open House was not only a logistical success but also a meaningful reflection of the college’s mission and community spirit.

For these reasons, Anokhi is more than deserving of the title of Staff Member of the Month. Her outstanding contributions have set a new standard for what the Open House—and our community—can achieve.
