It is with great enthusiasm that I nominate Sara Lundy for the Dean’s staff member of the month award. As the Clinical and Administrative Support Supervisor, Sara masterfully balances the demanding responsibilities of her administrative role with the high-stakes clinical duties of an LVT. Her dedication, skill, and passion shine through in every aspect of her work.
Sara plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and comfort of our equine patients during surgical procedures by expertly managing anesthesiology. Her calm presence and technical precision make her an invaluable asset in the operating room, where she consistently provides exemplary care, while also teaching others the nuances of anesthesiology!
Beyond her clinical excellence, what truly sets Sara apart is her unwavering positivity and contagious enthusiasm. She brings energy, optimism, and a collaborative spirit to every team she’s part of, lifting those around her and creating a culture of support and excellence.
A passionate educator, Sara is deeply committed to nurturing the next generation of veterinary professionals. She teaches student groups from the Veterinary Technology program at Northern Virginia Community College’s Loudoun Campus, helping future Licensed Veterinary Technicians gain hands-on experience in general handling, surgical preparation, and anesthesia techniques.
