Gina Murray is a wife and mother of 3 small children (4,3,2 years old). She is originally from Memphis, TN. She attended Texas A&M for undergrad, then the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in Knoxville, TN. Post graduation, she ended up back in Texas working with USDA FSIS as a Supervisory Public Health Veterinarian while also obtaining further certifications in equine-related areas (Certified EQ Rehabilitation Practitioner through UTK CVM and Certified EQ Sport Horse Massage Therapist). She was awarded an internship in 2024 with a primarily equine rescue in Middle TN –Horse Plus Humane Society that turned into an associate position. She was able to participate in the management of critically ill patients, traumatic wounds, unique bacteria like Diphtheria presenting in respiratory cases and so many devastating founder cases which came from kill buyers mostly with some owner surrenders (more routine care in these cases). She is blessed that her family supports her in the continued pursuit for improving knowledge and skills through higher education opportunities. Her goal is to be the best practitioner she can be for any equine that she sees while setting healthy boundaries in this changing environment for a more sustainable life in this field.
