Hometown/State: Silver Spring, Maryland

My undergraduate degree was in?

Biology

The best part of being a VMCVM student is …

Having a great group of clinicians who care about making sure we get the most out of our time here.

The moment I knew I wanted to be a veterinarian/public health professional was …

When I held my first job as a veterinary assistant, it was the first job I truly enjoyed coming to every day.

My hidden talent.

I'm learning to play the guitar, and I hope to consider it a talent in the near future.

A person who has inspired me.

The women of my family and my uncle who paved the way for my cousins and me to accomplish all of our dreams as first-generation college students.

My no-fail, go-for-it motivational song...

Miracles by Mambo Sauce

The course project/study you're most excited about.

I have a research collaboration with a human neurosurgeon on the horizon; it's going to be amazing!

What excites me the most about the future of my industry?

The unique way I intend to practice where I can combine clinical medicine and clinical trials.
The prospect of using cutting-edge techniques to help my future patients excites me.

Favorite way to end the day.

A freshly cleaned room, a good candle, and a bottle of wine with reggae/soca music playing.

Top of my bucket list.

Travel from northern to southern Africa and drive through all the major national parks.

How many pets do you have? Types?

Two dogs. I *accidentally* adopted the second one on my shelter medicine rotation.
