E'lisia Davis

DVM Class of 2025, Mixed Animal

Hometown: Camden, Delaware

My undergraduate was in…

Agriculture

Best part of being a VMCVM student…

Living out my dream with the support of family and friends the school has brought me. This field has been very important to me since a very young age. I am extremely grateful that this school has given me all the opportunities they have to build my skills so I can become the best veterinarian!!

The moment I knew I wanted to be a veterinarian/public health professional was…

When I asked my mom to bring home every stray animal I saw.

My hidden talent...

I can sing a note or two :) and I am super creative I can take random items and find a way to put them together to make something new.

A person who has inspired me...

My mother. She has been my number one supporter and without her I would have given up. She always pushes me to do better and is always there to pick me up when I fall.

Biggest misconception about being a veterinarian/public health student…

Animals are always used as test subjects. This is one thing I always hear when in reality we are, as students, developing skills we will use for our career. Such as completing multiple physical exams to build our own systematic way on doing them.

If I had a superpower, it would be...

See into the future.

My no-fail, go-for-it motivational song...

I Give You Glory by Jonathan Nelson

The course project/study you're most excited about…

Every clinical rotation I have to complete!

What excites me the most about the future of my industry....

I will be able to simply care and be a voice for animals.

Favorite way to end the day...

Talking to my friends on the FaceTime and doing our daily check-ins.

Top of my bucket list...

Fly out of the country.

How many pets do you have? Types?

1 dog, American Staffordshire Terrier
